Registration process and fees

How do I register with RecruitmentXperts?

Registering with the agency is a 2-part process.

Step 1: please send your résumé via email to jobs@recruitmentxperts.com. You will receive an email with the online registration link within two (2) business days.

Step 2: Once the agency has identified a suitable role for you, our recruiters will conduct a phone or virtual interview with you to complete the registration process.


Is there a cost for registration?

The agency does not charge jobseekers a registration fee.


Job placement and types of employment

Can you help me to find employment?

We aim to assist as many registered candidates as possible to find suitable employment by matching their qualifications, skills and experience with the requirements of the vacant position to be filled.


What types of job placement does RecruitmentXperts provide?

RecruitmentXperts assists jobseekers with permanent and contract or temporary job placement.


Can RecruitmentXperts assist jobseekers with part-time employment?

Yes, we can assist jobseekers with part-time employment once available. However, please note that current market trends show that there is greater demand by companies for full-time temporary or contract workers than for part-timers.


Does RXL offer remote work positions?

Yes, provided the agency receives a request from a client to fill a vacancy with the option/requirement to work remotely.


Once I am registered with your Agency, how long will it take for you to find me employment?

Being registered with a recruitment agency is not a guarantee of employment. Our ability to assist you will depend on the following factors: the current job market, the types of positions that are available, as well as the qualifications, experience and skills required for the vacancy. Please bear in mind that the agency’s role is to find the 'right job fit' for the position by sourcing candidates who possess the qualifications, experience and skills required for the job opening.


What if I am registered/wish to register with other recruitment agencies?

The Agency has no objections with your being registered with other recruitment agencies.


Application Process

How do I apply for a position?

Available job opportunities can be viewed on our Vacancies page or on our job board (https://www.caribbeanjobs.com/RecruitmentXperts-Ltd-Jobs-999.aspx). To apply for an available position, please click “Apply for this Job” and complete all fields on the application. If no position meets your current interest, you can Submit Resume to us for future consideration.


What are the next steps after I apply for a position online?

Each position has an assigned dedicated recruiter. Our recruiter will review your suitability for the role and will contact you once you meet the employer’s criteria for the position. There are some other things you can do in the meantime: 1. Keep searching for other employment opportunities that match your background. 2. Join or update your LinkedIn Profile. 3. Follow RecruitmentXperts on LinkedIn, Twitter and Instagram for updates of new positions and more.


How long do you keep a registered jobseeker’s application active?

A registered jobseeker’s application is kept active in our database for a two-year period from the date of initial registration.
Registered candidates are encouraged to update their résumés with the agency annually, particularly if there are any changes – for example, completion of additional qualifications, change of contact numbers, residential and/or email address, change of employment, etc. Updated résumés may be submitted via email in MS Word or PDF format.


I have not heard back from you regarding my application. What should I do?

We appreciate your patience, as our recruiters review the applications received in response to an advertised position. You will be contacted once you are considered a suitable match for the position you have applied for. You may also contact us at 622-9779 or 628-5126 between 8:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m. Monday to Friday.


Temporary Assignments

I am currently in-between jobs and would be interested in temporary jobs in the interim, can you assist me?

RecruitmentXperts offers jobseekers temporary or contract assignment opportunities, in addition to permanent employment assistance.


Who pays me if I am interested in temporary work assignments?

The Agency is responsible for payment of your salary – payable monthly – via direct deposit to your bank account. Your salary is subject to any statutory deductions required by law – NIS, Health Surcharge, and PAYE (if applicable). The contract arrangement for temporary agency candidates may be hourly-rated, daily-rated or monthly-rated depending on the client’s preference.


What are the typical working hours for temporary assignments?

The candidate will be advised of the working hours by the Agency prior to the commencement of the assignment. Work hours will be determined by the client but in any event, not more than forty (40) hours per week or eighty (80) hours per fortnight. It may be necessary to work outside of these hours from time to time, in which case, the candidate will be informed and overtime paid where applicable.


What should I do if I am unable to report for work while employed on a temporary assignment?

Should you be unable to report for work while employed on a temporary assignment for the Agency, you should notify your Recruitment Advisor no later than one (1) hour after the start of the workday.

International Jobseekers

As a Caricom national in possession of a CSME certificate from my home country, what are the steps involved to obtain a local T&T CSME certificate?

If a traveler visits a country without applying for a CSME Skills certificate, they will be limited to the duration of stay established by the Country's relevant authority, typically 3 months.


Once granted a Skills Certificate in your country of residence, it is valid indefinitely. On entry into another CSME participating country, CSME nationals receive an automatic 6 months. Within this 6-month period, all holders of CSME Skills Certificates must have their Certificate verified by the competent authority of that country. This is usually requested by the employer or by the Immigration Division.


Upon arrival to Trinidad & Tobago, you will need to present the skills certificate to the office addressed below:

Once the Skills Certificate is verified as authentic and notification of such has been received from the Ministry of Foreign and CARICOM Affairs or by the Immigration Division, the holder, his/her spouse, and dependents should visit the Immigration authorities in order to receive the appropriate stamp to reside in the Member State.


The skills certificate once obtained, allows a person indefinite stay in Trinidad and Tobago once employed.


I would like to obtain employment in Trinidad & Tobago but I am not a Trinidad & Tobago Citizen?

CARICOM Nationals CARICOM nationals who wish to obtain employment in Trinidad & Tobago must possess a Certificate of Recognition of Caribbean Community Skills Qualification (Skills Certificate).

Foreign Nationals

Under the Immigration Act, Chapter 18:01 of the Laws of Trinidad and Tobago, foreign nationals may not legally work in Trinidad & Tobago except for a single period not to exceed thirty (30) days within a twelve (12) month period. A foreign national is required to obtain a work permit issued by the Trinidad & Tobago Minister of National Security, in order to work in Trinidad and Tobago for a period greater than thirty (30) within a twelve (12) month period.
